Biography:
Dr. Gdovin earned his BS in Biology at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and his Ph.D. in Physiology from Dartmouth College. After a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Calgary Faculty of Medicine, he joined the Department of Biology at UTSA in 1997 as an Assistant Professor where he developed the light-activated intracellular acidosis technology. In 2015 he founded Vitanova Biomedical Inc. In 2018 he left UTSA to join Vitanova Biomedical as Chief Science Officer. He has served as the PI on numerous NIH and NSF grants and is currently a reviewer for the NSF SBIR Program.
