Biography:
I am Dr. Suman Nayak, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. I earned my PhD in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Patna in 2023. My research primarily focuses on synthesizing and characterizing various biomaterials derived from carbon quantum dots and carbon polymer dots, as well as studying their photophysical properties for biomedical applications, including sensing, bioimaging, and drug delivery. Currently, I am investigating coacervates, also known as proto-cells, to explore their potential in understanding the origins of life.
