Biography:
Dr. Volpe rceived her D.PH (Doctor of Public Health) from the Environmental Sciences Department of Columbia University in 1988. She spent 33 years in environmental toxicology and policy, specializing in Heavy Metals, lead, zinc, cadmium, and silver/nanosilver. She served as Director of the Silver Nanotoxicology Working Group (SNWG) for the last 10 years of her career and is now retired, but still consults and remains the Director of the Silver Nanotechnology Working Group.
