Biography:

Nowadays, Vice-dean for Research, Innovations and International Relations at Technical University of Košice, Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling, head of the Corrosion Testing Laboratory at the Promatech National Center for Advanced Materials and Technologies at the Slovak Academy of Sciences and Vice-president at Slovak Association for Surface Treatment.

He obtained M.Sc. in Chemistry at UPJS Kosice (partly Aristotle Uni. Of Thessaloniki) and PhD at TUKE in Material Science. Between 2005-2007 he also worked at the Technische Univesität Wien, TVFA Institute, later CTA. He was invited lecturer at Ecole Nationale de Chemie Paris-Tech, KIMab Stockholm, IST Lisboa, CEST Wiener Neustadt, Uni. Barcelona, ​​Institute for Work and Health in Lausanne, World Trade Center Moscow, Martin-Luther Uni. Halle-Wittenberg, Westfälische Wilhelms. Munster, Kurt-Schwabe Mittweida, AAMC Miami, World Trade Center Dubai, Global Science & Technology Forum in Singapore, Nanotech in Tokyo, Peter the Great Petersburg Polytechnic University, European Defence Agency and others. Since 2006 he took part on several European Science Foundation's annual trainings on advanced materials, nanobiotechnology, nanomedicine, nanosafety and others. In 2014 he was visiting scientist at Jan Dlugosz Uni. Czestochowa. He participated on industrial inquires and failure analysis within the industrial sector in the field of energy, oil & gas, coating industry (eustream a.s., SPP-distribution, ENEL, SES Tlmače, Bukóza holding a.s., Matador automotive, Kerex a.s., U.S Steel, VÚZ PI etc.).

He was awarded by president of IAAM prof. Hisatoshi Kobayashi with prestigious International Association for Advanced Materials Scientist Medal 2016 in Miami congress, US. Since July 2017 he acted as an member of the Steel Advisory Group at Research Fund Coal and Steel (RFCS), European Commission and since April 2019 as CnGE representative of the Slovak Republic in the Captech Group at European Defence Agency, since August 2019 he has been working in the Presidency of the Slovak Battery Alliance (SBaA) as University representative.

His actual research focusing on testing of advanced materials for Li-ion batteries and other energy systems, application of nanotechnologies in different environmental conditions, safety of advanced materials in hydrogen technologies, application of artificial neural networks in material science but mainly nanosafety issues.
