Biography:
Dr. Mohammad Obeid (Ph.D) is an associate professor in nanomedicine and drug delivery at the faculty of pharmacy at RAKMHSU in UAE. He was previously the vice dean of scientific research and graduate studies at Yarmouk University in Jordan. He is an academic visitor at the university of Strathclyde – UK.
Dr. Obeid has experience of teaching in higher education, conducting research (100+ Publications, 30+ Conference Abstracts, 20+ Oral/Invited Presentations) and securing research funding. Dr. Obeid is currently involved in a variety of projects and collaborates with academic partners, industries, and clinicians and he is supervising master’s students and a viva examiner for many students and referees for journals (50+), publishers and research funding bodies.
Dr. Obeid research group is applying nano and microfabrication techniques in pharmaceutical drug delivery systems manufacturing. More specifically his work involve the manufacturing of nanocarriers drug delivery systems and the design of specific pharmaceutical formulations for modified drug release including the use of polymeric nanofibers for a variety of drug delivery and tissue engineering applications, formulation of novel drug delivery systems such as liposomes and niosomes using microfluidic mixing for imaging and drug targeting using new or currently available anticancer, antidiabetic and anti-infective drugs.
